Isha Shah

 Hi Everyone!

My name is Isha Shah and I am so excited to serve as one of your vice-chairs for NATO at BMUN LXX! I am originally from Toronto, Canada, and am currently a senior at UC Berkeley studying Bioengineering with minors in Public Policy.

Me back home in Toronto!

Outside of BMUN, my passions lie in human-centered design for social good, encompassing biomedical innovation, social work, and healthcare policy. I am an Honors Fung Fellow where I work with industry partners and medical schools to find innovative solutions for issues in healthcare. I also volunteer with the Women's Daytime Center in Berkeley to support women and children in need and served as a Sexual Violence and Sexual Harassment Prevention Director in our Student Government (ASUC).

In my free time, I love to travel, and a goal of mine is to visit 30 countries by the age of 30! I also love music, mostly R&B and Hip Hop, and I enjoy playing soccer and being outdoors!

I am thrilled to hear your insights, debates and ideas at BMUN LXX and hope to provide a fun learning experience for you all through our committee! It is bittersweet that my 9 years of involvement in Model UN is coming to an end, but I am grateful to have it be with this committee :)

See you soon!

Isha Shah
